A person usually receives a referral letter from the MVA. In this letter, it states which program you must attend. If you are uncertain, you may contact the MVA .

What happens if I do not take the Point System Conference (PSC) by my PSC due date?

If you do not take the PSC by the due date, you will have to complete the Driver Improvement Program (DIP). This program is longer and more expensive than the PSC.

What happens if I do not take the Driver Improvement Program (DIP) by my DIP due date?

If you do not take the DIP by the due date, your license will be suspended.

I do not have my MVA referral letter. Can I still complete the PSC & DIP classes?

Does taking the PSC remove points from my driving record?

No, in the State of Maryland, points will remain active on your driving record for 2 years from the date of your violation.

My license is suspended and I just completed the DIP. When will my suspension be lifted?

We electronically notify the MVA within 24 hours of your completion if you provided us with the correct Maryland license number.  You are also given a hard copy of your completion at the time of completion. It is up to the MVA to lift your suspension. We do not notify other states or the courts.
